| Hofer Tennis Group TRIP TO SAP OPEN San Jose Men's ATP Tennis Tour February 10, 2009 |
| 33 People boarded an Orange Belt Bus at 3:00 pm in the afternoon and headed to San Jose. We were able to watch the Tuesday evening 1st round matches. First up was #1 seed Andy Roddick who downed qualifier Michael Rydersted of Sweden 6-2, 7-6. A special treat next was to see #5 seed Marty Fish beat a recovering former #1 player Leyton Hewitt 6-2, 7-5. The last match of the evening was doubles and featured a pair of twin brothers. #1 Doubles seed Mike and Bob Bryan beat Sanchai and Sonchat Ratiwatana of Thailand 6-0, 6-3. Getting back to Visalia at 3:00 am didn't seem so bad with all the great memories of this evening. I want to thank everyone who went and shared in this special day. -Doug Hofer |
